Synchro Summon
A Synchronized Summon (shortened to Synchro Summon) is a type of Special Summon where you send a face-up Tuner monster and face-up non-Tuner monster(s) you control to the Graveyard to Special Summon a Synchro Monster (an example below) from your Extra Deck.
The levels of all the monsters you send to the Graveyard to Special Summon that monster must be equal to the level of the monster you are trying to Summon. For a normal Synchro Summon, you only need 1 face-up Tuner and at least 1 face-up non-Tuner monster; you don't need monsters of a specific Type, Attribute, or archetype unless the Synchro Mosnter requires it (Examples include XX-Saber Hyunlei, Blackwing - Armor Master, Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En, Dark Diviner, and Naturia Leodrake). Token Monsters, Fusion Monsters, Ritual Monsters, and other Synchro Monsters can be used in a Synchro Summon.
All Tuner monsters are easy to identify because every tuner has the word "Tuner" next to their Type. An example of a Tuner monster is provided below.

Here is an example of how a Synchro Summon is done:
Turn Player A controls a face-up Witch of the Black Rose (Level 4, Tuner) and Rose Fairy (Level 3). He sends both monsters to the Graveyard and Special Summons Black Rose Dragon (Level 7) from the Extra Deck.
"Special" Forms of Synchro Summon: Double Tuning, Accel and Delta Accel Synchro
All the fundamental aspects of Synchro Summoning are provided above. There six Synchro Monsters that require additional special requirements when it comes to their Synchro Summon. There are three different kinds: Double Tuning, Accel Synchro Summon, and Delta Accel Synchro (all terms coined in the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's animated show).
Double Tuning:
Double Tuning is a fairly simple concept. All it is that the Synchro Monster requires you to use 2 Tuners. There are only two monsters that are Synchro Summon using Double Tuning: Red Nova Dragon and Vylon Omega.
Accel Synchro and Delta Accel Synchro:
An Accel Synchro is a regular Synchro Summon, except that it requires 1 Tuner Synchro Monster and either Stardust Dragon (in the case of Shooting Star Dragon) OR 1 or more non-Tuner Synchro Monsters (in the case of T.G. Blader Blaster).
There are currently two Tuner Synchro Mosnters: Formula Synchron and T.G. Wonder Magician. Both of these monsters have the effect that allow the controller to Synchro Summon during your opponent's Main Phase 1 or 2 (only in response to an opponent's card activation or after he/she passes turn player priority.)
A Delta Accel Synchro is an even more advanced form of Synchro Summon, requiring you to use 1 Tuner Synchro monster and 2 or more non-tuner Synchro Monsters. The only two monsters that have these requirements are Shooting Quasar Dragon and T.G. Halberd Cannon.
Rules relating to Synchro Summons and Synchro Monsters:
1.) The tuner and non-tuner monsters you use for a synchro summon MUST be face-up on the field before being sent to the graveyard.
2.) If a Synchro Monster is NOT properly Synchro Summoned (this includes if its Synchro Summon was negated), you CANNOT Special Summon it from your Graveyard.
